Construction of EC Gdynia
Supply of halogen-free cables for a modern combined heat and power plant.
The combined heat and power plants in Gdansk and Gdynia - PGE Energia Ciepła Wybrzeże Branch in Gdansk - are the largest producer of heat and electricity in Pomerania, meeting more than half of the heating needs in Gdansk, Gdynia, Sopot and Rumia.
CHALLENGE
We are proud to announce that our company took part in one of the key energy investments in northern Poland - the construction of the Combined Heat and Power Plant Gdynia (EC Gdynia). As part of this project, we were responsible for the comprehensive supply of halogen-free cables that meet the highest quality and safety standards. Working with the general contractor and the investment partners, we supplied a wide range of halogen-free cables that:
-have been delivered on time and in line with the construction schedule.
-provide increased fire safety - they do not emit toxic fumes or gases during combustion, which is crucial in industrial facilities with high technical requirements,
-meets European CPR and LSZH standards,
-adapted to the demanding operating conditions found in energy facilities.
Our solution
Halogen-free cables (LSZH - Low Smoke Zero Halogen) are particularly recommended in areas where it is crucial to reduce emissions of harmful substances in the event of fire. The use of this type of cable significantly increases the safety of people and equipment in the facility. As a modern energy and heat generation plant, Elektrociepłownia Gdynia has opted for solutions that guarantee the highest standards of reliability and protection.
